The letter indicated that these armed individuals are believed to be sponsored by unidentified persons, creating an atmosphere of insecurity and tension in the area.

The letter highlighted that the motives of the armed youths remain unknown, but their presence is generally considered a threat to the security of lives and property in Rano town. The incursion of these hoodlums is also viewed as a violation of a ban by the Commissioner of Police on June 20, 2024, which prohibited all non-state security actors, including vigilance members and hunters, from providing security services in the state.
