The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr. Richard Montgomery, praised President Bola Tinubu’s security strategies and reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s support for Nigeria’s efforts towards transparency and accountability in governance. Speaking at a High-level Dialogue on Delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda in Abuja, Montgomery commended the agenda for its focus on key priorities and effective delivery.
“I’d like to use this opportunity to express the full support of my government to the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu. We commend his agenda for its focus on priorities and delivery. We acknowledge that you have done a lot to put in place transparency and accountability,” Montgomery stated.
Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite, also addressed the forum, emphasizing the significance of international cooperation in advancing Nigeria’s economic goals under President Tinubu. She expressed gratitude to the participants, noting that their presence highlighted the importance of these efforts.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, praised the Vice President’s leadership in convening the forum, marking the first anniversary of the Tinubu Administration. He emphasized the role of international cooperation in achieving the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget and National Planning, reflected on the past year’s challenges and successes, assuring that the Tinubu-led government is committed to renewing the hope of Nigerians. He stressed the importance of international cooperation in Nigeria’s development plans and agenda.
Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, represented by Senior Special Assistant to the President on International Cooperation, Mr. Dapo Oyewole, reiterated Nigeria’s commitment to long-term partnerships with the global community. He affirmed that Nigeria’s foreign policy under President Tinubu will continue to foster mutually beneficial relationships with all nations.
Dr. Olasupo Olusi, Managing Director of the Bank of Industry, highlighted the transformative impact of strategic partnerships on Nigeria’s economic growth and inclusive development. He expressed optimism about leveraging international cooperation to enhance trade, investment, and sustainable development in Nigeria.
