President Tinubu Hosts Gov Fubara, Wike Over Rivers State Issues

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, and Ogoni land chiefs from four River State local government districts have met with President Bola Tinubu.

Today, January 21, the meeting was held in the Presidential Villa’s Council Chambers in Abuja.

Senators Lee Maeba, Magnus Abe, Olaka Nwogu, Chief Victor Giadom, Chief Kenneth Kobani, Monsignor Pius Kii, Leedom Mitee, Senators Bennett Birabi, Barry Mpigi, Chief Keneth Kobani, and Prof. B. Fakae were among those on the governor’s and the FCT Minister’s delegations, respectively.

Several members of President Tinubu’s cabinet are also there, including Minister of Information and National Orientation Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President, National Security Advisor Nuhu Ribadu, Abubakar Momoh, Minister of Environment; Balarabe Abbas; Idris Mohammed; and Mele Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).

Although the meeting’s exact agenda has not yet been released, sources close to the presidency assert that it may be related to the cleanup of Ogoni and the restart of oil development in Ogoniland.
