Idah, Kogi State | June 3, 2025
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, today flagged off the construction of 7.2km township roads in Idah Local Government Area.
Governor Ododo thanked the people of Kogi East for their support for his administration, noting that he is committed to fulfilling all his electioneering promises to the people of the state.
The Governor also eulogized the former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, for laying the foundation of the developmental strides the state is witnessing today.
He further expressed gratitude to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the support that continues to bring joy to the people of the state.
The construction project is expected to significantly improve the state’s infrastructure, enhance transportation, and boost economic activities in Idah and its environs.
“This flag-off is going to stimulate the economic activities of this place. On behalf of the people of Kogi State and my entire team, I flag off the internal roads of Idah Local Government Area to the glory of God Almighty and to the benefit of mankind,” he said.
While addressing journalists, the Managing Director of Kogi State Road Maintenance Agency (KOGROMA), Engr. Dr. Yunusa Alhassan, thanked Governor Ododo for his commitment to infrastructural development in Kogi State. He also assured the people of Idah Local Government that the job would be executed in accordance with the specifications and timeframe of the project.
The project is part of the state government’s efforts to promote development and improve the quality of life for its citizens.
The roads to be constructed are:
