Abuja, Nigeria – In response to growing speculation about his political ambitions, Abuja-based entrepreneur and philanthropist, Idris Husseini, has made a heartfelt declaration that he is not driven by any intention to contest in the 2027 general elections.
The renowned businessman, who owns Crush Café, a real estate firm, and several other ventures, has recently gained widespread public attention for his remarkable philanthropic efforts across communities in Kogi state and beyond.
Sharing his thoughts on his official Facebook page, Husseini addressed the growing public curiosity with sincerity and emotion.
“Lately, I’ve been overwhelmed with one question: ‘Are you planning to contest in 2027? Why are you doing so much?’ Let me speak from the depth of my heart today,” he wrote.
“I am not driven by political ambition, power, or praise. My path is rooted in something far more personal, far more sacred. I’m standing for truth, I’m also standing for humanity.”
Husseini recounted his humble beginnings, reminding his followers that he is “that son of a fish seller” who understands hardship and identifies deeply with the everyday struggles of ordinary Nigerians.
“What gives them joy gives me purpose, and what brings them relief moves me to action,” he stated, affirming his decision to live for others and be a voice for the voiceless.
Despite the overwhelming number of requests he receives, he said he remains committed to doing his best with the grace of Allah, vowing never to give up.
“This is not about me. It’s about us, always,” he concluded.
