Gun Manufacturers Arrested In Benue

The police in Benue state’s Agu hamlet in Vandekiya LGA have detained three gun manufacturers.

 

Following information received regarding an arms sale at Agu, Vandeikya LGA, the suspects were taken into custody. Emmanuel Adesina, the State’s Commissioner of Police, spoke to reporters on Wednesday.

 

Police detectives were sent to Agu, Vandeikya LGA, in response to reports of arms deals, in order to obtain information and apprehend the suspected parties.

“One Precious Ebuka Chukwu’m’ of Onitsha, Anambra State was taken into custody at Agu in Vandeikya LGA on July 2, 2024, at approximately 1830 hours. Three locally produced Beretta pistols were found during an on-the-spot check of the suspect.

“The suspect guided the team to the hiding place of his usual suppliers, two blacksmiths from Adikpo, Kwande LGA, named Tyav Wuese’m’ and Tyav Terkuma’m, who specialize in making guns.” The two producers were taken into custody as well. Soon, suspects will face court charges.
