The Bureau News reports that Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, has officially flagged off the construction of access roads and drainages worth ₦2.17 billion at Badariya, near the Mopol Barracks in Birnin Kebbi metropolis.
Speaking during the groundbreaking on Tuesday, Gov. Idris said the project is part of his administration’s commitment to delivering democratic dividends and ensuring even development across the state.
“Project Will Transform Living Conditions”
The governor emphasized that the project will not only ease movement but also improve the standard of living for residents.
“This initiative will foster unity among the people of Kebbi State while transforming the living conditions of residents,” Idris stated.
He assured that more developmental projects would soon be rolled out across various local government areas in Kebbi State.
Project Scope and Funding
Kebbi State Commissioner for Works, Engr. Abdullahi Umar Faruk, commended the governor for supporting infrastructural growth. He explained that the project covers:

Construction of four access roads around Abdullahi Fodio Juma’at Mosque.

Installation of dual drainage systems.

A reinforced concrete outfall to address water flow challenges.
The ₦2.17 billion contract was awarded to B-Tech Global Investment and Service Ltd, with a completion period of 12 months.

The Bureau News recalls that Gov. Idris has consistently pledged to transform the state’s infrastructure, emphasizing inclusivity by ensuring all communities benefit from new projects.
