Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, has refuted claims that he defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to recent reports, Rufai, who is now a fervent opponent of Tinubu, left the APC in order to run against the incumbent party in the 2027 elections. El-Rufai, however, urged the public to ignore the “rumours and lies” regarding his party allegiance.
He said that he has sent the main propagandists of the “fake news” to his attorneys for possible legal action.
“Please disregard the patent lies and rumours about my political affiliation,” the former governor stated in a post on X. My attorneys have sent the main propagandists of the false information for additional action.
