The Emir of Argungu and Kebbi State 2025 Amirul Hajj, His Royal Highness Alhaji Samaila Muhammad Mera, has pledged to ensure the adequate welfare of Kebbi pilgrims during their stay in the holy land.
The monarch made the pledge in Birnin Kebbi during the maiden inaugural meeting of the Kebbi State Government Delegation for the 2025 Hajj Operations, held at the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency.
Mera urged members of the delegation to diligently discharge their duties with the fear of Allah, stressing that the welfare of the pilgrims and the success of the 2025 Hajj operations depend heavily on their commitment.
“Let me profoundly thank the Governor of Kebbi State, Dr Nasir Idris, for giving me the opportunity to lead this year’s Hajj delegation. I will ensure that each pilgrim receives the attention he or she deserves,” the Emir stated.
Earlier, the Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu Yaro, emphasized that the primary responsibility of the committee is to ensure the welfare of the pilgrims.
“It is clear that we are ready for the job because we have capable hands that can deliver on their tasks,” he said.
Aliyu maintained that this year’s Hajj operations would be the best in the state’s history, citing the comprehensive arrangements already made to ensure a successful exercise. He also expressed gratitude to Governor Idris for the opportunity to serve the state and pledged full support to the Amirul Hajj and other members of the delegation.
