Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, has extended his heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, urging the people of the state to strengthen their faith in Allah and remain supportive of his administration’s commitment to rapid development.

In his Eid-el-Fitr message, Governor Idris expressed optimism that the Almighty Allah would reward the fervent prayers and sacrifices made during the holy month of Ramadan. He also reaffirmed his belief that divine guidance has played a crucial role in the progress his administration has recorded so far.

The governor attributed his achievements in various sectors within less than two years in office to Allah’s divine intervention, unity among political leaders, consultations with major stakeholders—including traditional and religious leaders—and the unwavering support of the peace-loving people of Kebbi State.

Commitment to Development

Governor Idris, popularly known as Kauran Gwandu, reassured the people of his administration’s determination to continue delivering impactful governance. He emphasized his political will and preparedness to enhance key sectors, including education, security, healthcare, infrastructure, and agriculture.

In particular, he reiterated his commitment to supporting farmers by providing free fertilizers and subsidizing other farming inputs, aimed at boosting employment opportunities and wealth creation.

He further disclosed that his administration is preparing a comprehensive report detailing its achievements over the past two years, which will soon be made public for general appraisal, constructive criticism, and objective analysis to guide future governance.

Security Concerns and Measures

Governor Idris acknowledged the recent security challenges in the state, which have resulted in the loss of lives and properties. However, he assured citizens that decisive measures are being implemented in collaboration with the Defence Headquarters to curb banditry and enhance security across the state.

Call for Sustained Religious and Moral Values

The governor called for the continuation of religious preaching beyond Ramadan to promote moral virtues, discipline, and commitment to the service of God and humanity. He also urged the people of Kebbi to embrace the values of empathy, generosity, and self-discipline, as taught during Ramadan, while reflecting on the role of education in building a prosperous society.

While expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support from the people of Kebbi State and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Idris reaffirmed his dedication to good governance and service delivery for the overall benefit of the state.
