A Magistrate Court in Wuse, Abuja, has ordered the remand of two siblings, Mr. Enenche Enenche and Alexander Enenche, along with Pastor Abraham Daniel, at the Keffi Prison in Nasarawa State.
Alexander and Enenche Enenche are brothers of Pastor Paul Enenche, the senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Church, while Abraham Daniel is a former pastor at the same church.
The two individuals were taken to the Keffi Custodial Centre of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) on Monday evening, following a remand order obtained by the Nigerian Police Force from the Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja.
Following the police invitation, Mr. Enenche Enenche and Alexander Enenche, brothers of Pastor Paul Enenche, along with Abraham Daniel, a former Pastor at Dunamis Church, were held in police custody until Monday evening, as reported by The Bureau Newspaper.
The Bureau Newspaper reported on January 8 that the Intelligence Department of the Nigerian police has released the duo on bail.
On January 7, 2025, Alex Enenche and Daniel were arrested and detained due to allegations of cyberbullying and criminal defamation against Pastor Paul Enenche. They were released the following day after an agreement was reached to resolve the matter amicably.
Alex Enenche and Abraham Daniel have been directed to report to the Force Intelligence Department (FID) on Friday, January 10, 2025, and Monday, January 13, 2025.
SaharaReporters reported on Tuesday that the FID had detained Daniel and Alexander Eneche after they appeared at the department in response to a police invitation.
Upon their reporting to the Force Headquarters on Monday, a source informed SaharaReporters that they were held in police custody “until this evening and then presented with a remand order from a Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6 this night to be remanded in prison.”
Mr. Enenche Enenche, Alexander Enenche (brothers of Pastor Paul Enenche), and Abraham Daniel (a former Pastor at Dunamis Church) were taken into Police custody following their compliance with an invitation. They remained in custody until this evening, when a remand order was issued by a Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja.
The police asserted that they obtained an Order from the Magistrate Court, Zone 6, Abuja for their remand.
“The name of the Magistrate and the number of days are currently unknown,” stated the source.
“At present, Mr. Enenche Enenche, Alexander Enenche (brothers of Pastor Paul Enenche), and Abraham Daniel (a former Pastor at Dunamis Church) have been remanded at Keffi Prison.”
In the meantime, the source informed SaharaReporters that a fundamental rights application is scheduled to be filed on Tuesday.
“We are expected to file a fundamental rights petition on this matter tomorrow,” the source stated.
