Overview of Autopsy and Toxicology Results

Lagos, Nigeria – An autopsy report on the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as MohBad, has been released, shedding light on the possible cause of his death. The autopsy was conducted at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH). Samples from MohBad’s gastric content, blood, bone marrow, liver, kidney, and lung were retrieved for a toxicology test.

Key Findings

  • Injury and Decomposition: The report noted an injury on MohBad’s right forearm. His body was exhumed eight days after burial with moderate to severe decomposition.
  • Toxicology Results: The toxicology report revealed a positive finding of Diphenhydramine, an antihistamine, but the concentration was not within a fatal range.
  • Potential Drug Reaction: The report suggested the possibility of a drug reaction or anaphylactic shock as a cause of death. However, due to the state of decomposition and lack of embalming before burial, the cause of death could not be definitively ascertained.

Circumstances Leading to MohBad’s Death

MohBad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was buried the following day. His death was surrounded by mystery, prompting investigations and arrests. The Lagos State Police, led by Commissioner Idowu Owohunwa, identified several suspects, including an auxiliary nurse.

  • Immediate Reactions: These injections triggered severe reactions in MohBad, including vomiting, goose bumps, and convulsions, ultimately leading to his death.
  • Professional Negligence: The nurse’s actions were deemed criminally negligent. As an auxiliary nurse, she was not qualified to administer such medications or function as a qualified nurse, especially outside a clinical environment. Her negligence in adhering to standard medical protocols was highlighted.

Further Arrests and Investigations

  • Additional Suspects: In connection with MohBad’s death, other individuals, including Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and Primeboy, were also arrested.
