[Video] Yahaya Bello Appears in Court as EFCC Fraud Trial Resumes

Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, was present in court as his trial on fraud allegations commenced before Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Maitama, Abuja.

Bello is facing a 19-count charge brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), with allegations bordering on financial misconduct. The court has granted him bail set at ₦500 million, with two sureties in like sum.

In addition to this case, the former governor is also standing trial on a separate 16-count charge before the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court. In that case, presided over by Justice Maryann Anenih, he has similarly been granted bail in the sum of ₦500 million, requiring three sureties.

Bello’s legal battle with the anti-graft agency continues as both cases progress in court.
