In what could be described as a triumphant entry of a political guru, Paul Odu Akowe, a former stakeholder of the former People’s Democratic Party who recently joined the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, stormed Kogi East on a familiarization visit with his political stakeholders and well-wishers and to configure his network ahead of the November governorship election.
Paul Odu Akowe, who launched the Odu network for Ododo/Joel 2023, inaugurated nine coordinators across the nine local governments and nine women leaders across the local governments, as well as the inauguration coordinators for each ward in Kogi East.
In an event that was held in Anyigba, Odu Paul Akowe demonstrated his wits as it relates to political mobilization as people from different local governments across the Igala kingdom graced the occasion in a resolve to support Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Paul Odu Akowe thanked his teaming supporters, who trooped out en mass to consolidate his genuine love for them, adding that Hon. Usman Ododo remains the most qualified and prepared governorship candidate ahead of the November polls.
What I see today is a reaffirmation of the fact that you all genuinely love me, hence your resolve to be here to support this movement because of me. This act gives me every reason to forge on because I know you are all there for me, he said.
Today, I am standing before you to appeal to your collective conscience to vote for the candidacy of Usman Ododo by November. I’m ready to negotiate on your behalf, as I offer myself to be your mouthpiece, he added.
The attendees include Hon. Abutu Daniel, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Water Transportation and Safety; the Secretary of the Movement, Hon. Danjuma Usman Africa; and the Special Adviser to the Governor on IDP, Hon. James Akoji Akowe. Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, among others, all showed up to make the occasion colorful.
Odu Akowe left the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, a couple of days ago and has since switched to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, where his impacts have been aggressively felt, judging from his recent activities in Kogi, where APC needs most of the work.
