Odo Ape ward, located within the Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, has been stirred by a recent development involving a falsified letter circulating through social media platforms. This fabricated letter asserts the expulsion of Honorable Duro Meseko from the ranks of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Dubious elements are sponsoring the fake news because of Hon. Duro’s emergence as the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC. A position Yahaya Bello wants Hon. Meseko replaced with his own candidate.

In a formal communiqué issued on Thursday, the esteemed APC Ward Chairperson, Obaganye Isaac, vehemently disavowed the contents of the aforementioned spurious letter. The Chairperson categorically labeled it as a mendacious narrative contrived by attention-seeking elements, intent on misleading the public sphere.

“I hereby state with authority that Hon. Duro Meseko was never and has never been suspended from the party in his ward. The general public and members of our great party should disregard the information as it is a blatant lie and misleading,” Mr Obaganye Isaac stated in the disclaimer.

He described Meseko as a true party man and a great supporter of a united party in the ward.

He further said that his signature was forged by the state governor, Yahaya Bello due to his desperation.

“The ward entire Exco never signed any letter of expulsion nor sat for any meeting regarding same.

“ Hon Duro is still a serving member of Kogi state assembly commission till date and I urge members of our party to remain focused and concentrate on our campaigns,” he added.
