Over 300 Riders Set for Kano International Bikers Festival — The Bureau News Nigeria News Today

KANO, NIGERIA — More than 300 motorcycle enthusiasts from Nigeria, Africa, and Europe are expected to converge on Kano for the 2025 edition of the Kano International Bikers Festival, tagged “The Gathering 2025.”
The four-day festival, slated for November 1 to 4, 2025, is organised by the Kano United Bikers Association to promote adventure, cultural exchange, and tourism in northern Nigeria.
Kano Government, Agencies Back Event
Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Mohammed Rabiu Abubakar, told reporters that the event has received support from the Kano State Government and key security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force and Federal Road Safety Corps, to ensure participants’ safety.
“This festival is not just about biking; it’s about unity, culture, and giving back to the community,” Abubakar said. “We’ve worked closely with police, road-safety and health officials to guarantee comfort and security.”
Activities, Tourism and Charity
The programme will feature motorcycle parades, speed contests, cultural exhibitions, charity outreach, and tourism sessions. Organisers will visit orphanages, donate medical supplies to Asiya Bayero Hospital, and pay courtesy visits to the Emir of Kano and Gidan Makama Museum.
A culture-themed gala and award night will close the event, honouring exceptional bikers and partner organisations for promoting biking safety, culture, and social impact.
Economic and Cultural Impact
Abubakar noted that the festival would boost Kano’s economy through hotel bookings, transport services, and local trade.
“Our goal is to make Kano a top destination for motorcycle tourism in Africa,” he said. “This gathering will showcase our traditions and hospitality to the world.”
As hundreds of riders prepare to parade through Kano’s streets, residents anticipate a vibrant celebration of culture, adventure, and unity.
