CDCFIB Releases Shortlist for Correctional, Immigration, Fire, and Civil Defence Recruitment — The Bureau News Nigeria News Today

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the official release of the shortlist for candidates who participated in its recent nationwide recruitment exercise into four major paramilitary agencies.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday night by the Board’s Secretary, Maj. Gen. A.M. Jibril (Rtd.), the shortlist covers applicants for the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCOS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Shortlist Available on Official Portal from October 30
Jibril said all applicants can now verify their application status starting Thursday, October 30, 2025, by visiting the official recruitment portal at
https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.
The portal, he explained, will also display the full details of each shortlisted candidate’s Computer-Based Test (CBT), including the date, time, and venue of examination.
“Candidates are strongly advised to rely only on information provided through the official recruitment website and disregard any unofficial platforms or fraudulent individuals claiming to represent the Board,” Jibril stated.
Board Warns Against Fraudulent Agents
The CDCFIB reiterated that the recruitment process remains free, fair, and merit-based. Jibril warned applicants against paying or sharing personal details with anyone promising preferential treatment, emphasizing that the Board does not authorize any third-party intermediaries.
The Bureau News gathered that the ongoing exercise aims to enhance manpower and efficiency within Nigeria’s key paramilitary agencies in line with President Bola Tinubu’s broader national security reform agenda.
Recruitment Covers Four National Security Agencies
The CDCFIB supervises the recruitment process for the following services:
- Nigerian Correctional Service (NCOS): Responsible for managing correctional facilities nationwide.
- Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS): Oversees migration, border security, and passport administration.
- Federal Fire Service (FFS): Handles firefighting, fire prevention, and rescue operations.
- Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC): Provides internal security and protection of critical national assets.
Successful applicants are expected to proceed to the next phase of the recruitment process as outlined on the official portal.
