by J.J Olawuyi

According to Corriere della Sera, Silvio Berlusconi, the flamboyant media tycoon who served as Italy’s longest-serving postwar prime minister and whose tenure was marred by sex scandals and accusations of corruption, has passed away. He was 86.

Barely three weeks after being discharged from a prior course of therapy, Berlusconi was sent to a hospital in Milan on Friday. He had a history of heart problems, including a damaged valve that was replaced by doctors in 2016, and in 2020, after catching Covid-19, he was admitted to the hospital with a lung infection.
