Nigeria News Today: The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has dissolved its executive committees in Kano State at the state, local government, and ward levels.
The decision was announced in an official statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bamofin Johnson.
According to the statement, the dissolution was carried out in line with the provisions of the NNPP constitution.
The party disclosed that caretaker committees would be constituted to oversee the affairs of the party at the affected levels, adding that the composition of the caretaker structures would be announced in due course.
The NNPP also expressed appreciation to members of the dissolved state, local government, and ward executive committees in Kano State.
The party commended the outgoing executives for their contributions to the growth, organisation, and activities of the NNPP in the state.
As reported by The Bureau News, the development comes amid ongoing political realignments ahead of future electoral contests.
