Nigerian Army Discovers Guns and Drone Production Facility in Delta [Picture]

Soldiers from the Nigerian Army claim to have located and shut down a significant drone and weaponry manufacturing facility purportedly run by the Eastern Security Network (ESN).

Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, an Army spokesman, stated that the factory was situated in Delta State’s Aniocha South Local Government Area near Onicha Ulona.

He claimed that although the soldiers encountered strong opposition when they raided the facility, they ultimately defeated the armed combatants in a hard gunfight.

Two of the fighters were neutralised, according to Nwachukwu, and a sizable cache of weapons and ammo was found.

“A factory that makes drones, ammunition, a variety of IPOB/ESN weapons, and an improvised explosive device (IED) were among the items that the troops took.”

A completely furnished workshop, multiple power generation sets, a range of weapons, drones in various stages of construction, prototypes, and supplies for improvised explosive devices are among the other items that were found.

“During the operation, troops also captured four male and two female fighters,” he said.

He gave the people confidence that the army would do everything in their power to destroy the networks of terrorists and insurgents.

He said, “We implore the people to support the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in their efforts to bring peace and stability back to the nation.”
