He made this pledge while addressing members of the Nigerian community in the United States on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

Encouragement for the Diaspora

Shettima urged Nigerians overseas to keep faith in their home nation, emphasizing that the country is on the right trajectory under the Renewed Hope Agenda. He noted that ongoing reforms are designed to position Nigeria for sustained growth and development.

The Vice President commended the diaspora community for its contributions to national progress and encouraged them to continue supporting the government’s initiatives. He assured them that their voices would be heard and their interests considered in national policy planning.

Diplomatic Continuation in Germany

Following his engagement in New York, Shettima travelled to Frankfurt, Germany, where he is expected to continue high-level diplomatic meetings. Officials say the administration remains committed to deepening ties with Nigerians abroad and leveraging their expertise for national development.
