In a statement made during a church program, captured on video, Odumeje boasted about using his ‘Abidoshaker’ to influence the exchange rate of the dollar to naira, which has seen significant appreciation from N1,920 per USD to N1,360 and N1,408.04 per USD at parallel and official foreign exchange markets, respectively. Odumeje’s pronouncements didn’t stop at the currency market; he also suggested his intent to exert influence over Nigeria’s presidential seat, asserting, “I will still bring down dollar and still handle the presidential seat of Nigeria.
