Kylian Mbappe has communicated to Paris Saint-Germain his decision to depart at the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season, once his contract concludes, according to Sky News.
As Mbappe’s existing agreement with PSG is set to terminate this summer, he has been eligible to engage in discussions for a pre-contract with alternative clubs since the 1st of January.
Negotiations are ongoing regarding the specifics of the striker’s departure, as both parties are in talks to decide if Mbappe will exit for a transfer fee or forgo his salary to safeguard PSG’s financial stability.
An official statement from PSG and Mbappe is anticipated in the near future, once a mutual agreement is reached.
The 25-year-old is strongly rumored to be considering a transfer to Real Madrid.
However, reports suggest that Mbappe would need to accept a reduction in salary to make the move to the Spanish club.
