The governorship candidate of the Accord Party, Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin (rtd), received a massive boost yesterday ahead of the November 11th governorship election in Kogi State.

The Assembly witnessed the attendance of thousands of Igbo-speaking inhabitants of Kogi State, particularly Lokoja, who expressed optimism in the governorship ambitions of the Accord Party’s governorship candidate, Usman Jibrin.

Speaking at the event is High Chief Sunday S. Nwachukwu, the leader of the Igbo community. He acknowledged the developmental strides of the former Chief of Naval Staff, stressing the need to have a technocrat like him as the next Governor of Kogi State.

We’re a part of this state, just like we have businesses scattered everywhere in the state. We’re sincerely and passionately concerned about the economic transformation of the state to create fertile ground for our business to thrive, and we know Usman Jibrin is the most qualified to actualize this dream amongst those jostling to lead, he said.

The governorship candidate therefore thanked members of the Igbo community, adding that he will make sure his administration brings out the best of Kogi on a global scale.

I understand in vivid terms the problems most of you are facing in the state; the plans to address these problems are already there; we’re only waiting until we assume office to perfectly execute them, he assured.

The occasion recaps the activities of the Accord Party’s governorship candidate in the Western senatorial districts as he bids to storm Kogi Central in the coming days.
