London, UK – Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi has reached a full agreement to join Arsenal Football Club, with a confirmed fee of €65 million to be paid in installments to his current club, Real Sociedad.
The move, which has been described as “here we go” since May, is now fully locked in, with Arsenal reportedly having completed all aspects of the transfer negotiation. The only remaining steps are the player’s medical examinations and the signing of his contract, both of which are expected to be completed in the coming weeks.

Despite speculations about a late move from Real Madrid, Arsenal insiders have made it clear that Zubimendi is firmly headed to North London. The Gunners are said to be in total control of the situation, and there has been no deviation from the original transfer plan.
The 25-year-old Spaniard has impressed in La Liga with his composure, ball-winning abilities, and tactical discipline — traits Mikel Arteta believes will strengthen Arsenal’s midfield ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Zubimendi’s deal further reaffirms Arsenal’s ambition to compete at the top level in Europe, building on recent momentum in the Premier League.
