by Ohepo Ohepo

President Bola Tinubu authorized the distribution of 42,000 metric tons of grains almost one month ago, but the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security was unable to start the ceremony and had to postpone it indefinitely.

Nigerians were assured by Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Abubakar Kyari that he will start distributing 42,000 metric tons of grains the week of Saturday, March 9.

In an effort to stabilize prices, Kyari also disclosed a plan to release 58,500 metric tons of milled rice from large rice millers into the market.

The Minister assured those impacted by the nation’s suffering that the government is still dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and well-being for all Nigerians.
