A 33-year-old housewife, Comfort Tinubu, has been accused of fatally stabbing her 39-year-old husband, Olusegun Tinubu, during a dispute in Ibadan, according to police reports.
The incident occurred late Wednesday night around 10:00 p.m. in their residence at Gbeyi in the Adegbayi area of Ibadan.
The couple, who had been married for three years and had two children together, reportedly started arguing, which escalated when Comfort locked Olusegun out of their bedroom.
Sources indicated that this led to a physical confrontation during which Comfort allegedly stabbed her husband in the back.
The situation was initially reported to the Gbagi Police Station, prompting an investigation.
Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the details of the incident, stating that the case is currently under investigation by the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation Department.
He assured the public that updates on the case would be provided as the investigation progresses.
