Idoko Ilona, the Governorship candidate of the APGA, has today thrown his weight behind the candidacy of Admiral Jibrin Usman Oyibe of the Accord Party, AP, ahead of the November 11th governorship election in Kogi State.
The business mogul and politician says the decision has become pertinent, having underscored the need to wrestle Yahaya Bello and Alhaji Usman Ododo using a capable hand like Admiral Jibrin Usman, whom he describes as a “fist hand “.
Ilona, who was a member of the Kogi East governorship candidates forum, has been recently involved in several dialogues to ensure Igala Kingdom champions a common front heading towards the governorship election.
While making his intentions known, he was quoted as saying, “Today, I’m ready to make another historic decision to ensure the sanity of the Igala kingdom. There’s no doubt that I have my personal agenda, but that cannot cloud what will directly favor everyone in the land”.
Idoko believes that there’s every need to build a strong synergy between the Kogi East governorship candidates, hence his decision to throw weight behind Admiral Jibrin Usman of the Accord Party, AP.
This is a major boost for Admiral Jibrin Usman, who many people in Kogi believe has the necessary background to challenge the powers that be.
