APC Thrives on Deceit, Manipulation, Brought In Foreign Fulanis to Destroy Nigeria — Afenifere Leader | The Bureau News

The Bureau News reports that the leader of the Yoruba socio-cultural organisation Afenifere, Oba Oladipo Olaitan, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of thriving on deceit, manipulation and deliberate misinformation to retain political power in Nigeria.
Oba Olaitan made the remarks on Tuesday morning while speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme, monitored by The Bureau News and other national outlets.
Afenifere Leader Blasts APC on Governance and Security
According to the Afenifere leader, the APC government has perfected the art of propaganda over performance. He lamented that despite years in power, the country still faces deepening insecurity and economic hardship.
“APC is good at what they know how to do — deceive people, manipulate people, conceal issues. That’s their job; they know how to do it,” Oba Olaitan said.
He urged citizens to evaluate their daily safety, asking, “Do you feel safe where you are now? Going back home after work, do you feel safe?”
Claims of Importing Foreign Fulanis
In a startling allegation, the Afenifere leader claimed that figures within a previous APC administration imported foreign Fulanis into Nigeria to destabilize the country and secure political control.
“Just because they wanted to rule this nation, they had to go to the extent of importing foreign nationals — Fulanis to be precise — to come into the country and destroy the nation,” he said.
Jonathan Speaks on Boko Haram and Buhari’s Missed Chance
The Bureau News recalls that former President Goodluck Jonathan recently revealed that Boko Haram once nominated Muhammadu Buhari to represent them in peace talks with his administration — a missed opportunity, he said, to end the insurgency.
“I felt that General Buhari would have negotiated with Boko Haram to stop the killings since they once nominated him to represent them during talks,” Jonathan said.
Jonathan added that he had set up committees for dialogue but the violence continued. “I thought that after I left, within a reasonable time, General Buhari would wipe them out. But even today, Boko Haram is still there,” he stated.
