Admiral Usman Jibrin Consoles Gov. Ahmed Ododo Over Father’s Death

Abuja – Former Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Usman Jibrin, has commiserated with the Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, following the death of his father, Alhaji Ahmed MomohSani Ododo.
In a personally signed message, Admiral Jibrin described the late patriarch as “a man of rare humility and unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of his people”.
He noted that “his quiet strength and sense of justice shaped the lives of many within and beyond Okene.”
He said Governor Ododo should take solace in the knowledge that his father lived an impactful life and left behind a legacy of integrity, discipline and service to the people of Okene and Kogi State at large.
Admiral Jibrin prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul and urged the governor and the entire Ododo family to remain steadfast during this difficult moment.
The Governor’s father died at the age of 83 after a brief illness. Family sources said funeral arrangements will be announced soon.
Sympathisers—including traditional leaders, clerics, and public officials—have continued to visit the Ododo family residence to pay their respects.
