Hon. Duro Meseko, Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed heartfelt sympathy to Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, following the death of his father, Alhaji Ahmed MomohSani Ododo.
In a personal condolence message on Monday, Meseko described the late patriarch as “a calm, principled and deeply compassionate elder whose presence brought comfort to everyone around him.”
According to him, “Governor Ododo inherited his humility and sense of responsibility from his late father,” adding that the entire APC family stands with the Ododo family at this trying moment.
Meseko encouraged the governor to take strength in the knowledge that his father lived an honourable life devoted to service and faith.
He further prayed for God to grant the Ododo family the fortitude to bear the loss and for the soul of Alhaji Ahmed MomohSani to rest in peace.
The governor’s father passed away in Okene at the age of 83 after a brief illness. Family sources say details of the funeral will be announced soon.
Messages of condolence have continued to pour in from dignitaries, traditional rulers and residents across the state.
