These controversial achievements include:
1. The announcement of the first set of appointments on his first day in office, along with the screening and swearing-in of new commissioners and senior aides.
2. A courtesy visit from the Ife-Olukotun Community in Yagba East Local Government Area.
3. A grand reception in Okene, marking the governor’s homecoming.
4. Participation in a meeting of the Progressive Governors’ Forum in Abuja.
5. A joint meeting with the governors of Kogi, Ondo, Taraba, and the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari.
Social media users were quick to comment on the absurdity of these listings. @hauwauthman voiced a plea for divine intervention for Kogi State, reflecting a sentiment of despair and disbelief at the state’s governance. Another user, @Jaheim007, sarcastically noted that listing a meeting with the National Security Adviser as an achievement was a new level of shamelessness.
In a supportive tweet, @IGONO praised the governor, calling him “God-sent” and lauding the achievements as surpassing those of previous administrations over 16 years. Conversely, @AlexAdeiza criticized the list for lacking substantive achievements, questioning how homecoming events and courtesy visits could be considered accomplishments of governmental significance.
