Benin, Edo State – In a significant political development, Rep. Dennis Idahosa (APC-Edo) has clinched the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination for the upcoming governorship election in Edo State, slated for September 21. The announcement was made by Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who serves as the chairman of the APC Edo governorship primary election committee, following the conclusion of the primary election this Saturday in Benin.
Governor Uzodimma revealed that Mr. Idahosa garnered a total of 40,448 votes, thereby outpacing eight other contenders in a competitive race for the party’s ticket. This victory sets the stage for Rep. Idahosa to represent the APC in the eagerly anticipated gubernatorial contest.
