I Had No Idea Tinubu Was So Smart And Prepared For Nigeria, Says Amobi Ogar, A Federal Lawmaker For The Labour Party

SaharaReporters had previously reported that Tinubu had a meeting with the newly elected members from opposition political parties to discuss the escalating leadership conflict.

Godwin Amobi Ogar, a House of Representatives candidate for the Labour Party, praised President Bola Tinubu, saying he had no idea the APC presidential nominee was so smart and prepared to serve Nigeria.

After the meeting between the newly elected federal lawmakers and Tinubu at the State House to address the continuing leadership problem in the National Assembly, Amobi, who was elected from Abia State, made this statement in an interview he gave to newsmen.

The LP House of Representatives member indirectly attacked Tinubu’s opponent Peter Obi, who is still contesting Tinubu’s victory at the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja, with his remarks.

SaharaReporters had previously reported that Tinubu had a meeting with the newly elected members from opposition political parties to discuss the escalating leadership conflict.

Representatives and senators-elect from several opposition groups, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party (LP), and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), met in the State House in Abuja.

“Well, I can tell you that today is my best day, today I’m so happy that I’m an elected member seeing my President talking,” Amobi remarked when speaking with reporters following the meeting. In fact, I had no idea this man was that smart. I had no idea this man was so ready to defend this nation.

“I saw love, I saw character, I saw charisma, and I saw the conviction that Nigeria can be a great country. I’m therefore thrilled that the meeting we have today will help us move a little closer to a more stable home. Even though we haven’t spoken to each other in a while, we have decided to support the government’s decision. I’m a member of the Labour Party, though.

“As of right now, the party is not the issue; we’re talking about building the Nation, we’re talking about the unity of the Nation.”
