The State of Palestine has reinstated that Israel and the United States are committing “genocide and ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians in Gaza and West Bank.

In a statement on Thursday by Ambassador Abdullah M. Abu Shawesh, Palestine said that Israel forces had continued to wage war of starvation in Gaza, particularly in Northern Gaza where only four trucks out of 41 trucks approved entered the besieged city that had been reduced to rubbles.

Titled: “Our damning findings must serve as a wake-up call to the international community: this is genocide. It must stop now”, Abu Shawesh revealed that in the 426 days of the genocide, 44,466 Palestinians had been martyred as of December 4, 2024 while 105,358 were injured in Gaza, with the vast majority being children and women, while thousands of victims are still trapped under the rubble.

The State of Palestine stated that 249 United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) personnel have been killed and 17,000 staff fear the loss of employment.

Giving the dire situations in the besieged Gaza, the Ambassador revealed that 11,900 Palestinians have been arrested by Israeli authorities, with 10,000 under the administrative detention, 790 children, and 435 women.

Lamenting the situation, he said that “the prices of essential food items in Gaza have soared by over 1000% compared to pre-war levels”, adding that only seven out of 27 UNRWA health centres were still operational in Gaza.

The statement partly read: “Between October 7, 2023, and October 31, 2024, OCHA reports that 736 Palestinians have been killed in the Occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Among them, 170 children, with a child being killed almost every other day by Israeli Forces and settlers.

“Children have been the worst impacted, with nearly 19,000 hospitalised in the past four months alone due to acute malnutrition. Gaza now has the highest number of child amputees per capita globally, with many surgeries conducted without anesthesia.

“Since October 6, 2024, 130,000 people have been forcibly displaced from North Gaza to Gaza City and south in general, with 70% being children and women, “many women and girls are seeking shelter in abandoned homes and destroyed clinics, or sleeping out in the open, exposing them to gender-based violence.

“Families in the Gaza Strip are having to resort to harmful and unsustainable coping mechanisms including reducing food intake, consuming contaminated water, selling personal items, and managing menstruation needs in a way that puts women’s health at risk.”

“Between 1 and 25 November, the UN attempted to reach besieged areas in North Gaza 41 times, 37 of which were outright denied. Four were initially approved, but then severely impeded on the ground such that the assistance could not be delivered to people trapped in the besieged area.”

“Between 1 and 23 November, 1489 humanitarian trucks were permitted to enter the Gaza Strip. This represents a daily average of only 65 humanitarian trucks, well below the pre-crisis average of 500 trucks per working day.

“Also 8 coordinated aid missions to areas in Rafah governorate, which has been under an ongoing Israeli military operation since early May, have faced similar challenges, with 24 out of 28 coordinated requests submitted to Israeli authorities denied, one impeded, one cancelled, and only two facilitated.”

“Israel to start confiscating call to prayer speakers from mosques, on the pretext “to stop unreasonable noises from mosques, which have become a hazard for the residents of Israel” the call to prayer annoys Jewish citizens and demands fines in cases where headphones are used.”
