Hon. Comr Ameh Williams, acting as the Transition Chairman, has spearheaded an initiative to unify the All Progressives Congress (APC) factions within the Olamaboro Local Government Area through a significant meeting with key regional stakeholders. This effort aims to lay the groundwork for harmony before the forthcoming general party stakeholders assembly in Okpo.
This meeting, a first under Williams’ chairmanship, successfully united differing factions within the APC, highlighting the critical nature of unity for the party’s future success.
Williams expressed his gratitude towards the party leaders for their unwavering support and emphasized the importance of moving past previous disagreements to foster the APC’s growth and the state’s development. He stated, “The past few months’ events must be left behind as we unite as a formidable family for the APC’s advancement and our state’s progress.”
He further clarified that recent challenges were simply part of the political landscape, not a basis for division within the party. Williams conveyed, “Our party should not be divided. To strengthen our party, we have convened this significant stakeholders meeting, aiming to include everyone in our journey forward.”
The forthcoming weekend’s general stakeholders meeting is designed to bolster the party’s unity and resilience further. Williams, acknowledged as one of the most impactful transitional chairmen in Governor Ahmed Ododo’s tenure, is dedicated to continuing the legacy of the previous governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, in line with the governor’s vision.
The discussions in the meeting spanned various subjects, including security, showcasing the APC in Olamaboro’s comprehensive strategy under Williams’ leadership.
The gathering saw participation from all political influencers in the LGA, featuring notable figures such as Honorable Bobby Ujah of the Olamaboro State constituency in the State Assembly; Hon. Monday Anyebe, Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development; Hon. Yunusa Gabriel Olofu, former Commissioner for Commerce and Industry; Hon. Friday Adejoh, the council’s immediate past chairman; among other prominent stakeholders.
