Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, criticized lawyer-turned-activist Deji Adeyanju, accusing him of seeking personal gain under the guise of activism. During a recent media session, Wike claimed that Adeyanju had approached him for support to become the National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), a request Wike declined. According to Wike, Adeyanju’s failure to secure the position has led him to adopt a critical stance as an “emergency activist” within civil society.
