Bashir Ahmad, a former aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, has voiced his apprehensions regarding the tactics employed by the administration led by Bola Tinubu, which seems to consistently focus on pointing out the shortcomings of its predecessors.

In a message shared on X, Ahmad observed that the opposition, especially the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), seems to employ a more nuanced strategy, noting that previous PDP governments tended to avoid openly critiquing their forerunners.

He suggested that the government should aim to build on the achievements of the past administration while subtly dealing with its failures.

Ahmad expressed his worry that the current tactic could allow the opposition to weaken the efforts of the government.

Furthermore, he recommended that a unique approach to leadership could help promote harmony within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), indicating that a shift in strategy might be beneficial for the current administration.
