Renowned Bandit Mudi, Son Killed While Dogo Gide and Ansaru Terrorists Fight Over Mining Sites

Terrorists have been killed in a struggle between two bandit organizations for control of some mining locations.

According to reliable information that PRNigeria was able to gather, the savage conflict took place in the Kuyello region of Birnin Gwari local government area of Kaduna state between Dogo Gide’s band of robbers and Jammatu Ansarul Musulmin Biladis Sunna, commonly known as Ansaru.

“On Dogo Gide’s side, Mudi, a wanted terrorist leader, and his son Murtala perished.”Serious losses were also sustained by Dogo Gide’s side, which included several family members and close friends.

The competition is a struggle for supremacy over management of mining sites.

Birnin Gwari has a number of gold mining sites. The majority of mined goods are smuggled into Niger from outside of Nigeria, suggesting a close relationship with criminal forces within the Republic of Niger.

“Given the encroachment of JAS and ISWAP elements in the Northwest, the recent clash draws attention to more rivalry attacks in the days ahead,” the source informed PRNigeria.

According to the spotted corpses that were scattered over the damaged areas, the defense intelligence source, who confirmed the rivalry between the terrorist factions, further stated that the death toll was significant on both sides.
