In Nigeria News Today, The Bureau News reports that the Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment as part of efforts to build a self-reliant and productive young population.
The assurance was given when corps members joined the rest of the world to mark International Youth Day at the Government House Gate in Birnin Kebbi.
Represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Nura Bala Fingilla, the governor described youths as future leaders and the bedrock of meaningful societal development.
“The present government has been assisting corps members by extending hands of fellowship to ensure stability in the livelihood of agile youths ready to serve the state,” Fingilla stated.
During the event, the commissioner personally donated ₦500,000 to the corps members and encouraged them to continue supporting the administration of Comrade Nasir Idris, noting its dedication to youth-oriented policies.
On behalf of the corps members, the President of the Kebbi State Corps Members Union, Ahmed Bello Yabo, expressed gratitude to the governor for his support and pledged their continued loyalty to the state government.
