Abuja, Nigeria – The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed a successful air operation that destroyed a major terrorist training facility in Bukar Meram, located on the southern flank of the Lake Chad region in Borno State.
This critical strike was carried out by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) on Monday, following credible intelligence about a planned assault on Marte and Monguno communities by the terrorists.

According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information for the NAF, the precision airstrikes led to the neutralization of several terrorists, as well as the destruction of vital logistics hubs including supply vehicles, weapons storage sites, and makeshift shelters.
“Battle Damage Assessment confirmed that the strike effectively disrupted imminent threats posed to the communities of Marte and Monguno,” Ejodame stated. “It reinforces NAF’s proactive posture in safeguarding civilian populations and critical territories.”
The operation is part of ongoing efforts to weaken terrorist infrastructure in Nigeria’s Northeast and restore lasting peace in the region.
