Manchester City defeated Inter in Istanbul by a score of 1-0 to claim the UEFA Champions League title. On a triumphant night for the football team that saw scenes of euphoria among the City supporters inside the Ataturk Stadium and around the world, Rodrigo’s goal sealed the victory.

With the win vs Inter, we’ll have won the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the historic Triple Crown.

City joins Celtic (1967), Ajax (1972), PSV Eindhoven (1988), Manchester United (1999), Barcelona (2009 and 2015), Inter Milan (2010), and Bayern Munich (2013 and 2020) as the ninth European team to win a Triple Crown.

With two European Trebles (Barcelona 2009 and City 2023) under his belt, manager Pep Guardiola has now won 14 major trophies since joining the team in 2016. His trophy haul includes five Premier League championships, two FA Cups, four League Cups, one Champions League, and two Community Shields.

This win, according to Captain Ilkay Gundogan, who received the trophy in Istanbul, is the result of years of toil and dedication.

Everyone at this football club should be really proud of themselves, he remarked. “We strive so hard every day, and we’ve been waiting so long to take home this prize.

We are all tremendously thrilled to have won since the Champions League is a fantastic sport. The Champions League victory puts us at the pinnacle of the sport, and this team deserves the highest praise.

“Winning the Triple is also incredible. We have achieved the pinnacle of success for any club team. It not only demonstrates the caliber of our team but also our commitment.

“I want to express my gratitude to the Manchester City supporters for their support this year. Sincerely, I can say that they were essential to our success. They deserve this opportunity since they have been outstanding.

Now, City will start the 2023–24 season with the chance to compete in both the European Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time, as well as the chance to become the first English football team to win four consecutive league championships.

All of the Manchester City team would like to congratulate Pep, his coaching staff, and all of the players on a fantastic accomplishment.
