President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has met with Nigeria’s service chiefs as part of renewed efforts to address the escalating security challenges across the country.

In a statement released from the State House on Sunday, the President confirmed that he was meeting with the Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), and heads of other intelligence agencies to assess the latest security reports and take decisive measures.

“I am currently in an extended security meeting with our Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, Director-General of the DSS, and heads of our intelligence agencies here at the State House,” Tinubu said.

He noted that security updates were being reviewed in real-time, adding that he had issued firm directives to ensure swift and strategic action in troubled areas.

“We are reviewing the latest reports and taking decisive actions to stabilise the affected areas and protect our citizens. I am receiving continuous briefings and have directed our security services to move with speed, precision, and absolute resolve,” he stated.

Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property, warning that those responsible for the unrest would be dealt with accordingly.

“As President, I am fully committed to the security of all Nigerians. Those who threaten the peace and security of our nation will face the full weight of the law. Nigeria will prevail,” the statement added, signed by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
