A fire outbreak has been reported Tuesday evening at the Army Arena Market in Oshodi, Lagos State, sparking panic among traders and residents.
THE BUREAU learnt that emergency responders have been called to the scene, and efforts are ongoing to contain the fire.
According to a video sighted by our correspondent, sections of the market were engulfed in flames as the fire continues.
Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) said the men of The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service are already on ground to curtail the fire.
LASTMA via its official X (formerly Twitter) account, which stated: “There’s a fire outbreak inside Arena Shopping Mall along Agege Motor Road, Oshodi. Men of @LagosRescue are on ground to extinguish the inferno.”
