According to screenshots shared on social media, users would be able to create a Close Friends list and then select that list when they are sharing a post on their feed. This would then only be visible to the people on the list.
The company confirmed to TechCrunch that it was testing this feature in a few countries, but didn’t specify which ones.

We’re testing the ability for people in select countries to share feed posts with their Close Friends, said a Meta spokesperson in a statement.
The new feature would reduce the need for a finsta’ or fake Instagram, which is a secondary account reserved for posting more candid, unfiltered, and personal content than a user’s main account.
Finstas are often used to share memes, inside jokes, and other content that the user does not want to share with their wider audience.
They are typically private accounts, and the user’s followers are usually close friends or family members. This allows the user to be more open and honest on their finsta, without worrying about their content being seen by people they don’t know well.
In 2018, Instagram launched the Close Friends feature for Stories allowing users to share content with a select group of people, rather than all of their followers.
The feature has been well-received by users for giving them more control over who sees their Stories and for creating a more intimate and personal experience on Instagram.
