He urged President Bola Tinubu to engage in dialogue with leaders from the recent #EndBadGovernance protest, highlighting the need for addressing systemic issues rather than entertaining secessionist threats. “It means that anytime things don’t work their way, they want Nigeria to break up,” Pogu remarked, expressing frustration with the repeated threats of secession.
Dr. Pogu emphasized that the Middle Belt is determined to build a better Nigeria and will not participate in any movements aimed at fragmenting the country. He asserted that the region is committed to Nigeria’s unity and development through meaningful reforms and inclusive governance.
