Following the monarch’s two-year diagnosis with pancreatic cancer, the funeral arrangements for King Charles were revealed.
Despite his 18-month reign as Britain’s king, King Charles III’s funeral arrangements have already been finalized due to his ongoing pancreatic cancer treatment. The funeral processions for the queen, named “Operation Menai Bridge,” would resemble those for Queen Elizabeth II, dubbed “Operation London Bridge.” Royal insiders told In Touch that Charles’s last resting arrangements are a matter of timely prioritizing as his sickness worsens.
The report states that although it is a pretty regular practice among British royalty, in Charles’ case expediency is required and that “some courtiers believe Charles’ cancer is worse than they’re making it out to be.”
“Operation Menai Bridge” will follow well-known procedures. Charles’ body will be transferred from the throne room at Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall upon the death of the monarch. Nine days later, there will be an official funeral, and he will lie in state. He’ll probably be laid to rest at Windsor Castle’s royal vault.
The insider goes on, “It will have all the pomp and circumstance befitting a British monarch.”
The news was released soon after a different, high-ranking royal insider informed In Touch that Charles only had two years to live in addition to fighting pancreatic cancer—a timely revelation considering that he previously withheld his cancer diagnosis.
The member of the royal inner circle disclosed in early March that “King Charles is much sicker than the palace lets on and simply isn’t up to the job of running his fractious family, the crown’s business interests, and fulfilling the daily duties of the monarchy.” “He is being eaten alive by his cancer. He is quite weak. The circumstances seem hopeless.
Royal observers have also started to notice his decline. The king is not scheduled to appear on the royal calendar for some time, though he will be attending a ceremony at Windsor on Easter Sunday. Instead, he will be depending largely on his sister, Princess Anne, to handle royal family business. Prince William, his successor, is also absent from the royal itinerary because of Princess Kate Middleton’s personal cancer diagnosis and treatment, contrary to popular belief.
Other insiders, however, informed In Touch that there might be more going on between Charles and William than just their individual health difficulties since the monarch believes William isn’t ready to succeed to the throne.
“Charles is aware of the challenges that come with being the king, but he’s not sure William is prepared to succeed him,” the third insider disclosed, adding that William is “facing a public relations catastrophe right now.” “That seems rash, and there might be repercussions.”
With this update, the monarchy’s future is doubtful at best, and even Queen Camilla is reportedly annoyed by Charles’ deteriorating health and diminished standing.
Early in March, a palace courtier told In Touch, “Behind the scenes, Camilla is disgusted by the king’s apparent weakness and is providing him little comfort as he battles his fatal cancer.” The courtier highlighted her vacation from royal duties, which began on March 4. “She was snubbing her stepson William, who is unable to bear the responsibilities of the monarchy on his own, by taking a vacation.”
