In what could be described as a congratulatory show of solidarity, the APC Youth Movement Kogi State chapter led by Comrade Enemona Ekele, paid a visit to Hon. Odu Paul Akowe over the victory of his Excellency Alhaji Usman Ododo, the Kogi State Governor-elect.
The group acknowledged the zeal, zest, and commitment of Hon. Odu Paul Akowe, who is the chairperson of the Odu Network for Ododo/Joel 2023, a political movement that submerged the Igala kingdom ahead of the just concluded governorship election in Kogi State.
While heaping praise on the brilliance of the political icon, he admired the leadership qualities he exhibited, adding that he was able to bridge the gap between a politician, the electorate, and the art of politics. We saw how you drew everyone closer while campaigning for your principal; you demonstrated this against impossible odds, and we’re honored to acknowledge such magnificent achievements, says the team leader.
We feel great associating with you, and we pray for a successful tenure for the governor elect, Alhaji Usman Ododo, they said.
Reacting to the visit, Hon. Odu Paul Akowe thanked every member of the group for deserving him of such recognition, adding that he felt privileged to be honored by this crop of politicians.
I have just one motive, and that is to bring the dividends of democratic practice closer to my people, and there’s no way I can make that possible without being truthful, committed, and transparent in my dealings.
I know the plight of my people, and I shall continue to represent their interests wherever I find myself because they always give me the voltage needed to function in my democratic voyage.
I must sincerely thank everyone for their prayers during the electioneering process; it means a lot to the collective victory we attained from the polls. Again, we must continue to hold the governor elect in prayer as we bid for his successful tenure in office, says Odu Akowe.
