Mararraba, Zamfara – A notorious bandit informant, Awwalu Dan Garin Mararraba, was executed by residents last week after irrefutable evidence exposed his dual role as a vigilante member and terrorist collaborator in Tsafe Local Government Area.

Despite widespread suspicion, Awwalu moved freely between communities, alternating between his vigilante disguise and open association with armed bandits. His downfall came when he returned to Mararraba to retrieve a motorcycle, triggering alarms among residents.
