The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has promised to keep apprehending passenger-loaded trailers around the country.
Speaking on behalf of Deputy Corps Marshal in charge of Operations, Shehu Zaki, Corps Marshal Dauda Ali-Biu urged transport union leaders to assist the FRSC in restoring sanity to highways during the Sallah mega rally on Saturday, 6 April, at Zuba Central Motor Park in Abuja.
He stated;
“We have made significant arrests since the beginning of the Joint Inter-Agency Task Force (JTF) operations. We will not relent until road traffic crashes are reduced to the barest minimum.”
The Corps Marshall also disclosed that they are working with the Nigeria Bar Association and state judiciaries to prosecute offenders on the spot.
